EU accession negotiations, Interior Minister meets French counterpart

The French Interior Minister expressed his readiness to increase cooperation between both countries for security, and especially for the positive achievements of the recent months in the fight against organized crime, border management and illegal emigration.

Minister Xhafaj thanked the French authorities for their encouragement and for the positive assessment made public by Minister Collomb.

Both Ministers shared the same opinion about Albania’s EU integration, especially after the recent report of the European Commission, which recommends the opening of the accession negotiations.
