Thousands of hectares, houses and national roads have been threatened by landslides.
Rains, massive deforestation, abandoned agricultural lands and the failure to maintain water sources has brought many erosion dangers.
“Landslides are an extreme erosion that only destroys lands, social economic objects, infrastructure and everything else”, declared specialist Vangjo Kovaci.
Forests fires and their exploitation increases erosion at least two or three times. The lack of investments has made rivers go out of control.
“Without working steep lands, erosion is in its best conditions to evolve, and that is the situation in which we are now”, Kovaci underlined.
Rain is the main erosion factor, especially in the last months.
