Ermonela Jaho shines in London

But for the first time, the Royal Opera has prepared the photo of an Albanian soprano, Ermonela Jaho, for advertising Verdi’s “Traviata”, in which Ermonela is the diva.

Ermonela plays Violetta, the protagonist of the Giuseppe Verdi masterpiece that is currently on stage at the London Royaln Opera, since the beginning of January, and will continue until the end of the month. The merciless British critics have given maximum evaluations for the professionalism and class of the Albanian soprano.

Some of the art critics, initially skeptic to Jaho for her debut in London, have changed opinion by giving the highest evaluation for her performance.

Critic Michael Migliore writes on musicalcriticism.com that Ermonela Jaho was amazing, and that her Violetta was charming.

The Independent writes that when the Russian soprano, Ana Netrebko will return in London, she’ll have to beat the brilliant performance of Ermonela Jaho.

Top Channel has learned that Jaho’s role in Pucini’s “Triptych”, performed a few months ago in London, was nominated for the prestigious “British Awards”, considered as the British “Oscars” for this category.

The opera will be on DVD and shown on HD cinemas around the world, also in Balkan, except Albania.

But which is Ermonella Jaho’s key of success in the artistic world?

“There are endless ways for becoming a great artist, and each of them should be built on the respect for the individual, the dedication to the perfect and the exclusion of mediocrity”, Jaho declared.

Jaho was unknown for the British public three years ago, while today she is the favorite of Belcanto, singing for the British Royal Opera at least until 2017.

The Albanian soprano, who lives in New York, will continue to sing in Philadelphia, Vienna, Berlin, Verona and Lebanon.

 Not years, but decades of success have enabled Ermonela Jaho to beat the critics and skeptics, only thanks to the mega-talent of this Albanian emblem in the world.
