With four votes in favour and one against, the Commissioners of the
Energy Regulation Entity voted for starting the procedures that will
revoke the licence of CEZ.

Eduard Elezi, legal director of ERE, declared that we are facing a series of serious licence violations, although ERE has given fines in the past.

Mr.Elezi had prepared a wide and complex problematic caused by the bad management of CEZ.

“In September and October CEZ did not import s single KWh. Imports were brought to zero, and the request for energy has been covered by the Drin River reserves. The monitorings have identified that CEZ has not paid the Transmission System Operator regularly”, Elezi declared.

Sokol Ramadani, head of the ERE, criticized CEZ for the situation: “CEZ and their general director brought a request to our Ministry saying that if we will not add a financial liquidity in their account, they will address to ERE. We are not an incompetent institution to wait for them to damage us”, Ramadani declared.

The procedure for revoking the licence means that within one month, the CEZ Company must fulfil four conditions, which are:

1-Importing energy

2-Handing over the audited balance sheet for 2011

3-Not undertaking collective power cuts

4-Normalizing financial balances
