The European MPs voted the resolution brought by right wing MEP, Eduard
Kukan, who asks Albanian authorities to punish those responsible for the
murders of January 21st, 2011.

Amendment 157, proposed by Kukan, appeals Albanian authorities to give justice without further delay for the victims.

The Slovakian MEP respected this way the solemn promise he had made to the relatives of this horrible tragedy.

The political groups voted with consensus amendments related to fight against corruption, justice reform and the vetting of current judges and prosecutors.

The MEPs rejected the amendment of their Greek and Bulgarian colleagues regarding the property, sea and churches of minorities. They were also surprised with the issue of Bulgarian minorities in Albania.
