The Commission for Civil Rights, Justice and Internal Matters at the European parliament voted this Thursday in favor of lifting the visa regime for the Kosovo citizens.
The members of this committee voted with 30 votes in favor, 10 against and two abstaining.
The rapporteur for Kosovo at the EP, Tanja Fajon, said that this is a deserved achievement for the Kosovo citizens, who must move freely in the Schengen countries.
‘I know how hard it has been and how much the Kosovo citizens have worked to achieve the visa liberalization criteria. I hope you offer full support to the report, because Kosovo deserves this”, Fajon said.
