Environmentalists: Lake Park, protected area

Environmentalists request that the National Parl near the Artificial
Lake of Tirana receives the status “Protected Area of IV Category”, in
order to prevent further damages caused by constructions.

“When one area is declared protected, it is confined, many specific permissions are needed for any kind of construction, especially when it serves to didactics and relaxation. The Dinamo Complex needs a ‘Luna Park’, a Natural Museum and ‘Endogenous Botany Garden”, declared the environmentalist Sazan Guri.

Representatives of the Ministry of Environment say that the draft-project presented to the government in 2010 provides that the park will enjoy the Regional Park status.

“The current situation at the Tirana Park should be changed. We must create a park as in every normal country of the world. It is a park of many cities, and we have made a special article in that law, for creating a regional park”, declared Bujar Dragoti.

The National park near the Artificial Lake has been destroyed by the multistory buildings that have received permissions from the Farka commune, while it is the only park in the country that has a lake, a Zoo, a Botanic Garden and a forest.
