Sauk is one of the most problematic areas in Tirana as regards power
supply. The distribution network dates before the ‘90s, when the number
of the residents in Selita, Kodra e Diellit and Sauk was much smaller.
After a 250 million ALL investment, the Albanian government aims to improve the service for 20.000 residents, reducing the network loss.
“After the historic record of 2015, we want to take it to 30% this year, reaching the quotas that are part of the financial plan with 27% losses”, declared the Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri.
“The deadline of the works is May, but we are aiming for April, with this pace”, said the Director of the Energy Corporation.
The investment foresees the building of a new system that will bring lower losses.
