Massive number of emigrants started leaving Albania from the Durres
Port, after passing the New Year’s holidays with their relatives in
Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia.
Sources from the Regional Directory of the Border and Migration Police showed that more than 2500 passengers and 600 vehicles left Durres to Bari only dyuring the last night.
Same sources say that the data processing on the border checkpoints has flowed without any problems, and the ferries have sailed safely to the Italian coast.
A ferry will depart every night for Ancona, while three others with go to Bari. The number of travelers that will go to Italy goes to 3000, with 800 vehicles.
After arriving in Italy, some of the Albanian travelers continue to other EU countries where they live and work for many years.
