While the temperatures have fallen many degrees under zero, mainly in
northern and southeastern Albania, the Health Ministry has established
an emergency team for helping the residents of the blocked villages.
On the other hand, Albania was swept by flu epidemics, with more than 22.000 affected people.
We have had 20.000 people with respiratory infections, and the epidemic has just started. Young children and senior citizens should not go from warm to cold environments, because their resistance would be reduced and they could get infected by the viral flu”, declared the Director of Policies at the Health Ministry, Pellumb Pipero.
According to him, the Health Ministry has prepared the helicopters for transporting sic people and has also distributed a considerable amount of medicaments to the areas in need.
