Elhaida Dani, the Best Voice of Italy, in an exclusive interview for Top
Channel confesses her difficulties, anxiety, emotions and the great joy
she felt during her adventure in Italy.
She values the cooperation and the help of her trainer, Riccardo Cocciante, and underlines that the two awards received in Top Fest 9 were the ones that made her famous in Albania.
Elhaida Dani says that by the end of June she will launch her first album and video clips in cooperation with “Universal”.

Elhaida Dani: Undescribable emotions. It is wonderful to be declared winner such unexpectantly. I am still thrilled and I am unable to talk because of the emotions. It was unexpected. I never thought I would be able to win with 71% of the votes. This is very strong. I am an Albanian living in Italy and this is a lot for me. I am grateful to all Albanians and Italians who supported me.
Riccardo is the most wonderful person I have ever met. He is not only a wonderful artist that we all have known, but he is also the most humane and loving person that I have ever met. I am happy and consider myself lucky for knowing such a person. He forgot everything else and focused only on my voce. This made me happy and I thank him with all my heart.
Singing “Margherita” with him, seeing him singing it with so much love and trusting that song to me, made me feel very happy and valued. I am very happy that I won and his work was awarded. He has written a song for me, which I sang last night. He had written this song a long time ago and considered it very dear to him, but he hadn’t decided for the singer. He made me listen to it and asked my opinion about it. I sang it and he said that it suited me very well, so he gave it to me. He said “Elhaida, be careful with this song because it is a precious jewel for me, and you turned it into a diamond.
Everything started with Top Fest. I believed that I would win only “Best New Artist” that night, because it was very important for me. Receiving such an award in the first appearance, an award coming from the “Dritan Hoxha” foundation, was something very important for me, as it is for all Albanians. The Albanian public got to know me through Top Fest. I am very grateful to this program that gave me this opportunity, and which allows every artist to participate and promote his music. I am one of those who had the chance to be the winner of the ninth edition.
Be the end of June and the beginning of July my album will be launched in the market with new songs and video clips. It is a career from scratch in Italy, from Universal.
