Electoral Reform Commission meets Women Association

The Parliamentary Commission for the Electoral Reform gathered this
Thursday for reviewing the requests and suggestions of the women
associations.
In this meeting were present representatives from the Women Association, who asked that one of three candidates who would run for Parliament should be women, as OSCE-ODIHR recommends.
The Women Association asked for this to be sanctioned in the Electoral Code, so that there can be penalizations for the political subjects that will not implement the criteria.
The Commission heard the suggestions of the Association, and is expected to discuss them in the next Parliament meeting.
