The official result of the local elections might be postponed
artificially for some days because the Central Election Commission wants
to gain time and fulfill one of the most controversial rules of the
Electoral Code, the annual audit of political parties and their
electoral funds.
There is a five day deadline from the day when the result is declared for experts to make the balance of parties, but it seems they are not interested.
The Electoral Code requires 40 names of experts, 20 for the annual audit of parties and 20 for the campaign fund inspection.
Albania has 220 licensed experts who can do the job, but the lack of interest comes because of the huge amount of work and the low fees offered by the government.
