Unemployment, extreme poverty and increased prices have sent more
Elbasan residents to collect old iron parts at the urban waste field.
They used to work as daily hand workers, but no one hires them anymore. The only solution for them is self employment in the waste management fields.
The money they gain during the day are not enough for survival, and this is their only way.
They can profit 500 to 1000 ALL per day, and for retrieving the metal parts they have to dig deep underground, because those on the surface have been gathered before.
