After a failed attempt to escape police, one of the authors of the robbery that took place today in Bulqiza took his own life.
The robbery that started this morning in a Bulqize jewellery shop ended tragically in Elbasan.
Perparim Bala, the author of the robbery, travelled to Korce with a van, maybe attempting to go to Greece.
A sudden police inspection in Mengel, Elbasan, made the robber shoot against the police and escape.
Fortunately none of the police officers were wounded in the fire exchange, but the robber left the scene after kidnapping another driver at gunpoint.
Followed by the police, Bala saw no other solution than shooting himself with his own weapon.
Police are continuing the investigation.
