Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, launched the electoral campaign in Elbasan announcing Qazim Sejdini as SP’s candidate for Mayor.
Rama emphasized that Alliance for the Future is the only way for the Albanians, also throwing many accusations towards “the regime of thievery”.
“Our way prepares on a daily basis to widen its road. What unites them is the thievery that put Berisha in bed with Durim Hushi. We are united by the road that brings the citizens together with Qazim Sejdini”, Rama declared, referring firstly to the Democratic Party candidate and then to the Socialist candidate.
“We are the only way so that any Albanian who respects the law doesn’t fear the government because of political convictions; so that no teacher or doctor gets fired because of political convictions. We are the way so that no institution closes the door to the face of any citizen who has the right to demand the services that he is entitled to. Our way is the only way so that no policeman complies with illegal orders for protecting the food of his family and children”, Rama declared.
Socialist Party leader referred to the denouncement that the Chief of Special Forces made today against the vice Interior Minister regarding the illegal orders for using the Special Forces. Rama appealed the State Police directors to turn on the right way, that of law implementation.
“We all heard the Chief of Special Forces, who was ordered by Sali Berisha to use the Special Forces against the Socialist Party supporters in Kamza. I congratulate with him for the message he gave to Berisha. I appeal to several police directors that are showing to be following the wrong way. Return from that way. The only way for you is that of law implementation. The electoral battles is not the battle of the police, but the battle of the citizens”, Rama declared.
Asking the Prosecution Office to immediately react regarding this scandal, Rama added that Prime Minister Berisha should forget this time to steal Albanian’s vote like he did on June 28th. He appealed the citizens to give him what he deserves on May 8th.
“Berisha should forget the idea of taking these elections by force or by dirty money. On May 8th we should heal the wound of the police, judicial system and economy. Let us revenge those who died on January 21st, let us revenge the ones that died in Gërdec, and all of them whose dreams are being killed without support and who suffer from justice”, Rama added.
