Elbasan, prices hike for holidays

New Years’ holidays have been accompanied with a hike of the basic food prices in Elbasan.
Prices at the main green market of the city have increased gradually, and might peak on December 31st.
Citizens complained and asked for measures to avoid a further price increase. The situation is even more difficult for pensioners and unemployed people.
On the other hand, the sellers say that the prices have not increased too much, compared to one year ago, and that the sensible decrease of the buying power is sending them on the brink of bankruptcy.
