After the decision of the Regional Environment Agency for closing the
incinerator at the “Xhaferr Kongoli” hospital center, the Hospital
Directory has taken measures to manage the hospital remains by licensed
companies.
Director Desantila Tahiraj explains that they are currently working with the company that they had in their agreement for the treatment of organic wastes. After the agreement will be over, they will review other bids.
“We have taken measures for all hospital remains to be treated. The same situation will continue in the future, after seeing the companies that are in the market for this problem. The incinerator has not been used anymore, since the decision”, Tahiraj declared.
Tahiraj adds that the decision for closing the incinerator, after the pollution, has made the hospital cross the budget quota. The director explains that regardless of the financial costs, the wastes will never be thrown in urban waste dump sites.
