The Chamber of Lawyers in Elbasan has entered the second day of protest by boycotting all judicial sessions.
Dozens of lawyers protested in front of the Elbasan Court against Judge Xheladin Karkini, accusing him of delaying trials and putting obstacles to their work.
The Chamber of Lawyers asked the High Council of Justice to take measures for the situation and to inspect Karkini’s cases.
On Thursday, the Court of Elbasan was inspected by the HCJ inspectors who decided to scrutinize Karkini’s work from January 1st 2011 to July 31st of 2012.
The protests of the Elbasan lawyers came after the arrest of Bujar Dyrmishi by the police, accused of physically attacking Xheladin Karkini at his office.
