Elbasan, electricity wires stolen for scrap

50 families in Elbasan are in blackout for more than one week. The
energy cables in their neighbourhood were stolen for scrap and CEZ
Company has not replaced the line yet.
According to the residents, CEZ asked them to replace the stolen cable with their own money. They say that although they pay energy regularly, no one is resolving the situation.
Although they’re missing one of the most basic services for a normal life, these residents don’t know who to address to for their problem.
The children do their homework under the light of candles, and have difficulties in writing.
These families are waiting for an urgent intervention for the electricity to return.
