The special envoy of the American president for the Kosovo-Serbia talks, Richard Grenell, said today that Kosovo and Serbia on Friday afternoon in Washington signed a cooperation agreement, emphasizing that they have not signed any agreement with the United States.

He was referring to e comment by Serbian President Alexandar Vucic saying his deal was with the US not with Kosova.

US president Donald Trump oversaw the signing ceremony for a Belgrade-Pristina agreement with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti on Friday afternoon.

Asked by reporters if US President Donald Trump had signed anything, Grenell responded by saying “it’s true”.

“He has only signed the confirmation that they will work together to implement the agreement,” Grenell said.

When reporters insisted on explaining what exactly the two sides had signed, Grennel said that “the two sides have signed cooperation agreements to normalize economic relations.”
