EC recommendation/Cakaj: New report proves achievements

The acting Foreign Minister, Gent Cakaj, spoke about the recommendation of the European Council for the negotiations.
“Albania has shown its dedication for opening the negotiations. The Commission said the truth regarding Albania. The new report is not the old one. The new one proves the achievements. It is now time for active cooperation with the member countries.
“The Commission stated that the Parliament of Albania is functional. This report has a message for the opposition and whoever has enough good will can understand this. The opposition must be involved in the political institutions. The commission says that these obstacles need to be overcome for the sake of the European future.
“The European Commission has said that the political and electoral reform has been damaged by the opposition’s behavior. The report proves that the technical criteria have been fulfilled by the government. The EC reports proves that the government has managed the situation successfully”, Cakaj said.
