The Progress Report published by the European Commission for the
candidate and aspiring countries for EU accession gave the candidate
status to Macedonia for the fourth time.
The Report proposes to give the status to Macedona, same as in the first three hours. But this status might be blocked again by Greece, for the diplomatic conflict that both countries have for the name issue.
The Commission appealed Skopje to increase the efforts and find a solution with Athens on this matter.
Serbia has also received the candidate status once again, and the Commission notes that the country has made visible progress in the last year, but they asked them to improve the relations with Kosovo. As for Bosnia, the Commission notes that the progress is slow and appealed the country to undertake the necessary reforms set by the priorities.
