EC President Juncker: “We’ll propose negotiations with Albania, if reforms go well next six months”

The President of the European Council, Jean-Claude Juncker, declared in a joint press release with Edi Rama that they are in a point when they can recommend the EC to start the accession negotiations with Albania.
“We are at a point when I could recommend the European Council to open the accession negotiations with Albania. The next six months will be essential for the future of your country. We spoke with Prime Minister Rama about the achievements of the past months. We were impressed by the reforms that were realized in Albania”, declared the EC President, Jean-Claude Juncker, noting that he might visit our country next week.
The Albanian Prime Minister shared the same stance, stating that the next months will be decisive for the future of Albania.
