Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The government will focus all procedures for the concessionary permits at the National Licensing Center.
“We have identified all licensing requests. All concessions must register at the National Licensing Center, which will be the only institution where they will apply”, declared the Minister of Economy, Nasip Naco.
According to the government, the new package avoids the permits that must be given by the local government.
“From the list of 23 licenses and permits, 20 of them require short terms registration. Their request will be considered approved and the NLC will continue the procedures”, Naco declared.
A private business must secure 23 different types of licenses and permits for a concession in the energy sector. The government says that for 20 of these licenses will apply the silent approval principle, when if one institution doesn’t apply for a given permit within the deadline, it will then be considered approved.
Another stalemate that the government claims to resolve is that of the public properties. According to a decision which is expected to pass to the government, after a private business will request to construct a hydropower plant in a public property, this property will automatically go under the dependence of the Ministry of Economy, which gives the respective permissions.
