The 81-year-old Shaban Norja, who killed and beheaded the 18-year-old
pregnant Aishe Vata in Xhafzotaj, appeared in court for the first trial
in a bulletproof vest.
Although none of the girl’s family members were present in the room, Police took all necessary measures to avoid incidents.
The defendant’s defensive lawyer, Osman Dashi, asked for an accelerated trial for the killer of Aishe Vata.
He said that Norja deeply regrets the crime, and the Prosecution Sokol Nishani did not oppose the request. Judge Ervin Metalla adjourned the court to January 24th.
