Durres Municipality Budget conflicts

The city administration without a budget has turned into an object of critics between the political leaders in Durres.
The Durres Democratic Party leader, MP Igli Cara, considered the situation very concerning and blamed the Mayor for it. Cara says that the tourist season needs services, and the city needs investments.
One day ago the Durres Mayor declared that there is no political will in supporting the Municipality in their activity. The contradictions between the Municipality and the Municipal Council started on January, when the fiscal package of 2012 was approved without the increased fees and taxes with 10-30%, as requested by the municipality.
Based on the approved package, the Municipality planned the budget that has not been presented yet at the Municipal Council, because it must be adopted first with a level of revenues that are smaller than those that have been predicted earlier, by causing this way new clashes between the political adversaries, and the consequences will fall on the community and tourists.
