A mentally ill 51-year-old man has killed his mother this Saturday, the
only one who took care of him, after his father died one year ago.
The domestic crime took place in Kulle village, Durres, after a banal argument between Lefter Pashaj and his mother, Mereme. The Police arrested the author of the crime after they found him on the scene.
Neighbours were shocked and surprised, saying that despite the mental illness, Lefter had never been violent in his daily life.
But the most shocked were the small children of this village, who had to witness the entire scene.
The 51-year-old asked his mother to hand him over the house keys, her pension and the money she had saved from what her other children had sent her from the emigration.
