Durres, debates in Municipal Council

The meeting of the Durres Municipal Council was interrupted without
being able to review one of the most important points of the schedule,
regarding social housing.
The right winged councilors, who have the majority in this council, asked the Municipality to be more responsible in the draft-decisions that they present at the council.
The discussions spurred debates when the Municipality proposed the approval of the Cultural Council, which functions near the Durres Municipality. This council has 11 members and discusses cultural fund distribution. The debates were not about the names of the proposed members of this council, but on the lack of presenting an analysis for their work in the past years.
The funds that support the artistic-cultural activities, according to the right winged councilors, are 300 million ALL. For this reason, they require transparency and a good management. The Durres Cultural Council members Bardhyl Agasi and Nikolet Vasia have been replaced by Shpresa Beqiri and Aishe Stari.
