
Five months after the Court of First Degree for the Serious Crimes gave
its verdict for the 16 defendants charged as members of the Durres Band,
the Court of Appeal for Serious Crimes left this verdict in act.
Judge Dalip Bushi announced the verdict behind closed door, which means that the Appeal confirmed the life sentences of Lulzim Berisha, Plaurent Dervishaj, Endrit Dokle and Indrit Taullai.
The other members have 255 years in total, while the justice collaborator will stay in prison for 10 years.
Kujtim Buna, Sardian Sulejmani, Altin Olloni, Elvin Hioshosmani, Alban Neli, Selman Heti and Spartak Kalthi are sentenced with 25 years to prison, while Altin Nikolla and Kristian Begu are sentenced with 20 years.
Osman Karpuzi and Ahmet Ajeti were sentenced with 21 years to prison for each of them. The lawyers of the defendants and the relatives protested against the verdict.
