Durres band, prosecution pretense postponed

The Court of Serious Crimes postponed the pretense for the Durres gang, once led by Lulzim Berisha.
Prosecutor Anton Martini asked two days for planning the pretence of the criminal gang.
The judge panel declared that the pretense is being adjourned due to the complexity of the case.
Last month, the prosecutors were obliged to change their charges for the 17 defendants, due to the amends made to the Penal Code of 1995.
The prosecutors said that when the current law is different to the law that was in act in the time of the crime, the law provides that for the case will be used the version that mostly favors the defendants.
The Prosecutor declared that the charges against Lul Berisha will be raised based on the Penal Code of 2007, which changes most of the premeditated murder charges to murder, which provides a softer sentence.
