After consequent cancellations of the construction work in the Durrës central square, the construction company started the works after receiving the environmental permit by the respective authority, through the National Center of Licences.
The works were canceled several times by the National Inspectorate of Construction and by the Regional Environmental Agency in Durrës, due to the lacking of the environmental permits needed for this public investment. This cancellation was called as a political obstacle towards the Municipality by governmental controlled agencies.
The Municipality of the coastal city confirms that after receiving the environmental permit, the first phase of the project for the revival of the Liria square will end within the next 20 days.
