Youth education and the reduction of the demand for drugs is the main
purpose of the program started by the Directory of Tirana Police, in
cooperation with the New Jersey state in the USA, and ICITAP.
This program comes after an evaluation for drug users in Tirana and aims to educate children from 12 to 13 years of age, to make them say “no” to the negative phenomenons of drugs, smoke, alcohol or other dangerous substances.
The program has started its implementation following a plan that started on December 5th and that will continue until December 15th in 40 schools of Tirana.
The education groups are composed of two police agents and one teacher, who will give instruction about the drugs and other dangerous substances. This program aims to be implemented in all Tirana’s schools, and with the collected experience it will extend throughout the country.
