Prime Minister Edi Rama said today at a press conference that there are 128 construction sites in the country in order to guarantee 24 hours of tap water in the 52 urban areas of the country within 2021.
“70 new construction sites have been opened to guarantee a 24-hour water supply. 25 years after the fall of communism we started to have a proper water supply system. The investments are 514 million euros, 202 million are from the state and the rest are from foreign companies. There are 23 urban areas in the country with 24 hour water supply from Bilisht to Tropoja. Until 2021, water supply will be a reality for all urban areas in Albania. 128 construction sites are in operation now that we speak, despite all the extra hardships we have had to face, the earthquake and the pandemic that has affected the whole world”stated Rama among other things.
