Draft law for the media

23/10/2012 00:00

The draft-law for the media, one of the most controversial laws that has
been postponed for years and has received consults from international
experts, passed in principle at the Commission of Media and Education.

“This is very delicate for the area it covers, and it is very important for the fact that we are dealing with a law that should be basic for the public’s interests. The expertise was very precious. We will approve the law in principle, and as for the passing for each article, we will present our requests for amends”, declared the Socialist MP, Valentina Leskaj.

The two rapporteurs of this draft-law that will be discussed next week have valued the current content but asked the MPs to be open for further amends.

“With this draft-law, most of the anomalies for the media will find a solution”, declared the Democratic Party MP, Mark Marku.

“By passing it in principle, I ask to discuss the voting of each article, so that this law can be more adequate for Albania”, declared the Socialist realtor, Alfred Dalipi.

All broadcasts must be digital by 2015 and this transformation must require less costs for the consumers.
