The Parliamentary Commission of Economy received the draft-budget for 2012 and the draft-law for banks.

The draft-budget was presented by the Deputy Minister of Finances, Mr. Alfred Rrushaj.

Rrushaj informs that the revenues foreseen for this draft-budget are 329 billion ALL, without including the revenues that will be collected by the fiscal amnesty, an initiative that the government undertook a few time ago.

The Deputy Minister rejected the voices for a possible increase of the flat tax, much criticized by the opposition. He said that the tax will remain at 10%.

Rrushaj declared that the economic increase for 2012 is expected to be 3.9%, different to the declaration of the former IMF director for Albania, Gerwin Bell.

During an interview for Voice of America, Bell declared that the economic growth in Albania was expected to be only 1 to 1.5%.

The draft-budget for 2012-2014 was approved by the government in the beginning of this month. According to Prime Minister Sali Berisha, it sets the financial basis for the third mandate of the Democratic Party.

The most important sectors, such as education, health an agriculture will receive less funds from the state budget, which, according to the analysts, contains a series of dangers.
