Former PD MP, Albana Vokshi denounces that the Albanian government and Prime Minister Edi Rama have bought protective masks expired since 2014, with twice the price, from the same pharmaceutical company.
According to Vokshi, during the COVID-19 crisis there are 1 million unemployed Albanians, but that doesn’t stop Rama from stealing by secret tenders, or by buying masks and kits at prices several times higher than the market value.
“Albanian citizens are suffering not only from the virus, but also from a corrupt government and a failed prime minister.
“The government only does propaganda with everything and at any time, and has not given any explanation on why it has bought test kits with 4 times the market price with secret tender, by the company O.E.S. Distrimed.
“By these secret contracts, the government prohibits citizens from being informed what hospital protective equipment has been purchased, and for how much. However, like everything else, theft cannot be concealed forever!
“The masks with which the government has provided the doctors and nurses of the infectious disease hospital, on the first front of the war, have expired since 2014”, stated Volshi among other things.
