The Democratic Party distributed some helicopter footage showing
cannabis plantations on the Vlore River, while police say the footage is
old, realized by them before an operation.
The Democratic Party accused Minister Tahiri of taking 30% of the profit of every cannabis plant in exchange of guaranteeing protection, generating hundreds of millions of EUR for traffickers, who, DP says, are people close to the Minister.
The Police said the DP is actually promoting their work by showing a video used before an operation in which they eliminated the plants and brought the authors to justice. Police adds they will also prosecute whoever leaked the footage that are part of a secret investigation.
