DP urges Constitutional Court for Kokedhima’s mandate decision

02/02/2016 12:35

The Democratic Party accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of having caused
the delay of the Constitutional Court verdict regarding the term of MP
Koco Kokedhima.

“Rama is defending his Parliament Members from justice by intervening with everything he has to delay the Constitutional Court verdict for the mandate of Koco Kokedhima. The Prime Minister of Southern Albania, as he has apparently decreed himself so, has violated the law 150 times by receiving public funds for his business. But justice is not quick with him. Koco Kokedhima is Rama’s soldiers and promised to increase the number of delegates for the SP congress three fold”, said the Democratic Party MP, Eduard Halimi.

The DP asked the Constitutional Court to make the decision effective as soon as possible. The opposition accused Kokedhima of receiving public funds against the law for at least 150 cases, and this is the reason why Rama wants to control justice through the draft-reform and that he is against the Bureau of Investigation.
