Starting from the next week, the Democratic Party will undertake two parallel initiatives for the CEZ scandal.
The Democrats will address to the Constitutional Court to reject the agreement that was turned into a law by the current majority, which finds a solution between the Albanian government and the Czech company, which, according to the Democrats, has created a 600 million USD cost to the Albanian taxpayers.
“The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group will address the Constitutional Court to reject the agreement with CEZ, an act that damages the financial interests of Albania and which gives a horrible debt to the citizens”, Halimi declared.
The second step of the opposition will be an initiative for an international investigation of the affair.
According to the majority, Rama and Meta have joined in a criminal act to hide corruption, and that “the 600 million EUR may be divided between CEZ and Edi Rama, while Ilir Meta has an urgent need for friends, since he is accused of being involved in another scandal of 135 million EUR with the DIA company and Kastriot Ismaili”, Halimi accused.
