DP-SP, verbal battle for immunity

“The absolute truth is that the billionaires leading the Socialist Party and Mr. Rama would never accept to lift the immunity, because they fear their illegal assets, their origin and the tax evasion, smuggling, theft of other people’s lands, illegal constructions and criminal traffic”, the DP Spokesperson declared.

“Two days ago, in a meeting with the young Eurosocialists in Jale, the former Prime MInister, Pandeli Majko, revealed the real cause why the Socialists are not voting the lifting of the immunity. When he was asked by one of the young SP members about this , Majko declared that the Socialist Party cannot accept the lifting of the immunity because the Ministers, according to him, are tied with the judges and prosecutors”, Bardhi declared.

“The Democratic party states once again that nothing will block the Albanian citizens’ right to lift the immunity of the high rank officials, the black mask of their illegal wealth”, declare the Democratic Party Spokesperson.

Rama: Berisha, no evidence for accusations

The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, reacted through Twitter against the accusations raised by the Democratic Party regarding the immunity issue.

He challenged the Prime Minister to prove any of the accusations raised against him, especially when Rama enjoys no immunity.

According to the Socialist leader, no normal country would allow a slandering Prime Minister that launches each day unfounded accusations against the opposition.

“The Prime Minister has no evidence for the accusations against the Socialist MPs who come from the business world and there is no connection with the immunity for this”, Rama emphasized.

Majko also reacted against the accusations, saying that the Constitutional amends of the immunity have been accepted by the Socialists, but the DP wants to play political games in the summer heat.
