DP-SP debates for immunity

The Socialist MP Blendi Klosi declared for the media that Albania is risking the integration for the third time because the government did not fulfill these criteria.

Klosi accuses Berisha of having no interest for the independence of the judiciary, since he prefers a system that is kneeled down in front of his family and power.

“Berisha lies about the immunity limitation and openly rejects to vote the draft on which we agreed, together with the package that would guarantee independence of the judiciary. He failed because he has a clear goal. He doesn’t want an independent judiciary system in service of the Albanians, but a justice system that is kneeled down in front of its power and in service of its family. Berisha doesn’t know the concept of independent institutions. As he appointed one of his servants as President, he is doing the same with the Secret Service without consulting our strategic allies first. He made the wrong choice by taking the Secret Services under control, same as in 1997”, Klosi declared.

The DP Spokesperson, Silvi Bardha, declared that the Socialists are conducting a campaign against the lifting of immunity.

She said that the SP blocked Albania’s third chance to receive the EU candidate status.
