Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Democratic Party continued accusing the opposition leader, Edi Rama, for failing to receive the EU status.
MP Gerti Bogdani declared for the Albanian media that in June 23rd they will remove the blocking wall raised by the new “blockmen”.
“For the third consequent time, even in this 100th anniversary of Albania’s independence, the close personal interests of the political adventurers in the Socialist Party blocked the candidate status for Albania and delayed the integration process. By not voting the three laws, the opposition blocked once again Albania’s EU advance. It’s unforgivable for any politician that puts the political and personal interests before the national ones. It is unforgivable that a political adventurer to withhold an entire country. It is clear, even from Commissioner Fule and the Council’s conclusions and the European Parliament that the only reason that Albania failed with the candidate status is that the three laws were not voted. It’s the blockage that Mr.Rama made to the Albanians. We believe that the Albanian citizens, same as they brought down the wall raised by the old blockmen 22 years ago, will bring down the wall raised by the new blockmen”, declared the Democratic Party MP.
