The Democratic Party leader released a statement about the meeting that leader Lulzim Basha had this Wednesday with ambassadors of five EU countries.
The Democratic Party leader told the ambassadors of Germany, France, Austria, Italy and Greece that the appointing of the Prosecutor General was a constitutional coup that has put the entire justice system into a crisis, destroying this way the political process and destabilizing the country.
Basha confirmed the Democratic Party support for opening the negotiations with the EU, but fulfilling the five priorities, according to Basha, are up to the government and not the opposition.
The opposition leader said that the interests of Albanians and the EU can be served only by punishing the process that turns Albania into a country of drug and crime, and by not allowing politicians to be connected with drug and crime, but take them to justice.
