DP foundation day, Berisha demands another mandate

Berisha declared that the Democrats celebrate today the 22nd anniversary of foundation as the main political force in the country, as a force of development processes and that has the trust of the youth.

After making a resume of the last 22 years, the Prime Minister asked the Albanians, especially the youth, to vote what he called “Party of Integration”.

 “The next mandate is the mandate of a developed Albania. We are the change, because in these years of the deepest crisis of Europe for the last 90 years, we stood as David in front of Goliath, and our economy growth is four times larger than the average of our region. Albania is the only country that has multiplied the wages and that has multiplied the foreign investments. Digital Albania is your age. We are the change. We will bring down the blockage wall. The vote of June 23rd is the vote of integration, the vote of the future, the vote for development”, Berisha concluded.

The celebrations of the 22nd anniversary started with a video that showed the achievements of the Democratic Party since its foundation, its coming to power, the fall in 1997, which in the documentary is called “communist rebellion”, and until their arrival in power in 2005, the NATO membership and the visa liberalization.

Rama: In 2013, DP in opposition for its rebirth

The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, posted on twitter critics about the documentary presented in the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Democratic Party at the Palace of Congresses.

“It looked like coming from the communist archives, the same text and voice. The enemy of classes is replaced by the opposition”, Rama says, adding that 22 years ago, DP was the hope, but today it is the disappointment. “In 2013, SP will come to power to give Albania its rebirth, while the DP will go to opposition for its own rebirth”, the SP leader declared.
