In today’s Parliamentary session, the Democratic Party MP, Eduard
Halimi, mentioned the resolution of the European Popular Parties for Albania,
which appeals for guaranteeing fair elections, and said that electronic voting
is necessary, when the Prime Minister used drug money to buy votes.

Halimi explained that the opposition’s request was made only
due to the effect of the drug traffic to
the electoral vote, something that wasn’t thinkable before.
The Socialist Parliamentary Group leader, Gramoz Ruci, replied by saying that the electronic voting is just an alibi for them, since they cannot be done a few months before the elections, and the DP did not request them when they were in power themselves.
