The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, participated in the election
analyze made by the Democratic Party branch in Fier, the second biggest
district by number of Parliament Members.
Now that the biggest opposition party is selecting its basic leaders, Basha had a very clear message for the democrats.
“The power at the Democratic Party comes only through vote. This is what I promised when I was running for leader, and this is what I am reiterating today. The selection is not up to me, but up to each of you. You will chose with vote the people who will take responsibilities because of your vote. No one can tell you who to vote for and who to not vote. No one can do the intermediate. The party will be free, as it was born. This is the number one priority of my mandate in the Democratic Party, to enlarge and consolidate this freedom for the Democratic Party members”, Basha declared.
Basha declared that it is important that the Democratic Party has won the trust of the citizens in such a short time, who, according to Basha, not only feel defrauded and abused by the governing coalition, but they also value the opposition project of the Democratic Party.
“The project of this party is to reestablish a new beginning by reuniting. There is a recovery project with an opposition based on facts and arguments that today is heard and respected by citizens, even by voters who until yesterday didn’t think about turning their eyes to the Democratic Party. Through this commitment we are returning hope and trust, which is necessary for every Albanian, not only the democrats”, Basha declared.
