Opposition DP representative Jorida Tabaku said today that the government is making difficult the coronavirus war payments by selecting between businesses and citizens, while thousands of Albanians, heads of households and parents of children, are unemployed and without income.
“For several days now, many of the businesses that have applied for the fund set up by the government for the economy, have told that they are being unjustly disqualified from right to receive payment. Hundreds of complaints and denunciations have come to the DP for unfair treatment and refusal to pay by the government. They say their demands have fallen on deaf ears and are unfortunately right.
“The result today is tragic. Thousands of Albanians, heads of families and parents of children, are unemployed, without pay, without income, while the government continues to supply concessions with the usual millions, as if nothing had happened. Worse even, the government is making payments difficult by selecting between businesses and citizens. The government must URGENTLY end the DISCRIMINATION of families in need to protect the favors and money of the oligarchs. All those who have lost their jobs and their incomes must receive the minimum support for their existence. And for that, it is enough for the prime minister to choose the 3 million Albanians instead of some 10 oligarchs”, stated Tabaku.
