DP: Corruption, problem created by Topi and Spahiu

05/12/2012 00:00

The Democratic Party emphasized that the perception of our society is
related with the high level of corruption in justice, in a time when
this system was led by the former President, Bamir Topi, and when the
High Council of Justice (HCJ) was led by the former Vice Chairman of
HCJ, Kreshnik Spahiu, both now leaders of the two newest right winged
parties in Albania that go against the current government.

“The acute problem with the corruption perception index is the situation in the administration of the justice system during the time of the monitoring. The perception and several public testimonies speak about jobs and careers for judges who were sold for 200.000 EUR, in a time when justice was administered by the owner of “Transparency International Albania” and the other owner that led the HCJ. This justice corruption index cannot stain the work of the Albanian government in the war against corruption and governing of the country. It cannot stain our admirable achievements and the numbers that are served by Spahiu for the index in question cannot deceive the Albanians and cannot divert our attention from the fight against corruption”, declared the Democratic MP, Gert Bogdani.

Spahiu: Berisha, responsible for corruption

The head of the Red and Black Alliance, Kreshnik Spahiu, declared that Prime Minister Berisha has plunged Albania in corruption, making it the most corrupted country in Europe.

According to Spahiu, Berisha leads today the most corrupted government in the past 20 years.

“Citizen Berisha brought Albania to this point, with a government that is much more corrupted that the government of Hashim Thaci and Fatos Nano. Albania is heading to isolation. Albania will recover only if citizen Sali Berisha will be arrested and punished”, Spahiu declared.

Topi: Berisha brings nationalistic theories

The leader of the New Democratic Spirit, Bamir Topi, declared that this shows the failure of Berisha’s government, who’s playing that nationalist’s card to cover his failures.

“The Transparency International Report of 2012 ranks Albania 15 places lower, even more corrupted than one year ago. Our country is plunging in debts each day more. The informal economy has grown dramatically. Every person has contacts with a small business, and they can see how people work from morning to evening and their future is completely unsure”, Topi declared.

Topi added that the Albanian soldiers who sacrificed and served in Afghanistan by giving glory to Albania, have not been paid yet. “This is the economic miracle? This government, which is bringing the wiretap psychosis in the Albanian society? This is the psychosis of fear, when the state takes over all institutions and has no balance”, Topi declared.
