The Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration will protest the appointing of the Provisory Prosecutor General by the majority.
This was the decision taken by these political forces after the joint meeting of both parliamentary groups, held at the Democratic Party headquarters.
January is their deadline for starting the protests.
“We will start a wave of protests in the first days of January, to stop the madness of a narco-prime minister who is today the Prosecutor General of our country, who puts the stability of our country in danger, its democracy and integration. Today was only the preparation of a wave of popular protests”, Basha said.
Earlier the day, MP Sali Berisha proposed for the opposition MPs to burn their parliamentary seats as protest against the decision of the majority. Lulzim Basha did not exclude it.
“We will take the best decision for Albanians, as regards the delegitimated Parliament”, Basha declared.
He reiterated his accusations against Edi Rama, who, according to him, wants to use the Prosecutor General appointed by him to close investigations against high-level officials.
“He wants to close the case against Saimir Tahiri, he wants to guarantee immunity for himself and his relatives. He wants to close the case against the Mayor of Durres, the Mayor of Elbasan. He wants to close the accusations of corruption against the Finance Minister and the Minister of Energy, among others”, he declared.
